Pastor Saul Gonzalez is an anointed, dynamic communicator with a passion to see the unchurched come to Christ, cities transformed by the gospel story, believers equipped for Kingdom work, and for God to supernaturally move in and through both the local and global Church. Along with his wife, Linda, and their four children—Daniel, Eliana, Caylin, and Sara—they form a family who seeks to serve and honor the Lord in everything they undertake
His Background
Saul grew up in McFarland, California, and graduated from McFarland High School. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at California State University of Bakersfield. He went on to earn a Master of Arts in curriculum and instruction as well as a Master of Arts in educational administration at Fresno Pacific University.
For more than 25 years, Saul was a bi-vocational pastor, serving as an educational leader and influencer in his community. He served in the public school system as an English teacher, a high school principal and senior level District Administrator, which he saw as a ministry and mission field to help impact the lives of thousands of youth as well as transform a community and reach and shape the next generation for Christ.Saul began his ministry experience as an evangelist and conference speaker, traveling throughout America to proclaim the story of Christ. He also served as an associate pastor and youth pastor at El Buen Pastor Church in McFarland, California, and as a Presbyter for the Bakersfield Section. For the last 15 years, Saul has been the lead pastor of LifeHouse (formerly Cornerstone Christian Community), a growing multi-site, bilingual, multicultural, and multi-generational church that is impacting the communities of Oildale, Bakersfield, and Kern County in California.
